Backstory
Stacie was born in Cincinnati, and grew up in Marietta, OH. She was an extremely
active student, performing in the band, choir, and drama clubs, advanced swim meets
and national cheerleading competitions. Stacie graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor
of Music in Vocal Performance from The Ohio State University.
Theatrical Expertise
Boord is a founding member of Shadowbox Live. Since 1988, she has appeared in
hundreds of original productions across countless performances with her company.
Some of her most memorable turns include the original sketch comedy characters Vera
(Vera and Laverne) and Dolly (The Santa Babies), and critically acclaimed
performances in the metamedia productions The Tenshu, Thunder &
Lightning, Chicago, Tommy, and Jesus Christ Superstar and Vinyl: A Very 80’s
Musical. Stacie is also a sought-after public speaker and host, working with
organizations like Planned Parenthood, CreativeOhio, and the National Association of
Women Business Owners.

Organizational Expertise
As Shadowbox Live’s CEO, Boord is the company’s chief spokesperson and corporate
liaison, working with community and business leaders to explore how the power of live
art can positively impact our community. She leads the creation of the company’s vision,
mission, strategic planning and programming, and is responsible for cultivating the
company’s contributed income – which has increased tenfold during her tenure.
In addition to her work as CEO, Boord created – and rapidly expanded – Shadowbox
Live’s Education department, launching innovative, intensive programs that uniquely
challenge students to artfully impact the world around them. Some of these nationally
recognized programs include, The Arts Immersion Program, Studio 8, and the Artistic
ASL (American Sign Language) curriculum developed for Columbus State Community
College.
