Backstory
Robbie was born in Monterey, California where his father was serving in the USAF. After some moving around, his family settled in Groveport, OH. around 1985, after his father left the Air Force. After high school, Robbie also enlisted in the USAF, serving with the 31st Security Forces Squadron in Aviano, Italy. After his honorable discharge, Robbie worked various jobs, until a chance encounter with an old friend that was employed with Shadowbox led him to auditioning, joining the ensemble in 2000.
Theatrical Expertise
Other than a few high school plays and musicals, Robbie came to Shadowbox Live with no real prior theatre experience.

Organizational Expertise
As Assistant Director, Robbie works to keep the various production departments “in the know” and on track with our aggressive and complex production calendar. He also serves as the right hand man to our Producing Director Julie Klein, assisting her in any capacity she needs. Robbie describes his job as “doing anything I can to make the process easier for as many people as possible, be it dealing with calendars & schedule requests or just grabbing someone a snack during rehearsal days.”
Robbie is also a member of the Shadowbox Live writing team, the backstage manager, and is one of the acting teachers for the Shadowbox Live education programs.
